After completing credential coursework, Amanda Hurley joined Las Virgenes Unified School District in Calabasas, CA as a special education teacher and case manager. She has taught in schools in Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Calabasas for 20+ years. She earned a graduate degree and teaching credential in Special Education (mild to moderate disabilities), followed by a post-graduate certificate in Educational Therapy, from CSU-Northridge.
EDucate4All Inc. (originally established as Hurley Consulting) operates as an individual and small group educational therapeutic services entity. Amanda's training as an Education Specialist and Learning Specialist is the foundation of her language and literacy-based reading instructional expertise, including Lindamood-Bell and Orton-Gillingham training. She further specializes in writing, math, and executive functioning skills and strategies. EDucate4All Inc. is a licensed and bonded professional business.
Amanda regularly attends professional development learning opportunities to stay abreast of developments and best practices, and provides training for new teachers and colleagues. Formerly, she performed an active role in the Association of Educational Therapists local study group and the Las Virgenes Educators Association as an executive board member and representative. Amanda further supported elementary and secondary-level students through the creation and operation of an after-school enrichment program, called iHomeworkClub, at a school in Agoura Hills, CA. As a Field Research Agent, Pearson Publishing has contracted Ms. Hurley over the past 10 years for clinical work on their assessment revisions and pilots of their formal assessments. Amanda's commitment to professional development also extended to work with Dr. Milton Dehn of SchoolHouse Educational Services and the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse on working memory practices.
Over the years, Ms. Hurley has volunteered in varied roles, such as Girl Scouts co-leader; instructor of enrichment programs through the Conejo Valley Parks and Recreation Department and City of Agoura Hills Parks and Recreation; legal advocate for an adult with severe disabilities; team leader for the annual Friendship Walk; creator of Got Summer Reading? summer programs at local libraries; private tutoring; Casa Pacifica supporter; Manna; J. P. Getty Museum docent; and varied community fundraising and awareness events. Amanda's younger sibling has special needs and was an inspiration to supporting others though Educational Therapy.

Niki Funaki has been an educator for nineteen years. After earning her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, she spent eleven years as an elementary school teacher in public schools in the Hawai’i State Department of Education and the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD).
For the past decade, Niki has worked as a reading intervention specialist for CVUSD, across all elementary grade levels, and has additional experience with adolescents. Experience with her own child's educational therapy services, Niki began devlopment professionally into the field of Educational Therapy. She is proficient in a wide range of educational strategies that target the major components of reading instruction (phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension);`and she has extensive experience addressing writing and math deficiencies. Niki is passionate about fostering the joy of learning by targeting individual strengths and interests and celebrating success. In her spare time, Niki enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, traveling and spending time with her family and two cats.
